Lichfield and Stratford-upon-Avon

(New Place) Garden Stratford-upon-Avon

Lichfield Cathedral

Two lovely places, both near for a Brummie to visit. Lichfield, home of Dr Johnson, Erasmus Darwin and many others: and Stratford, well ... it was his birthday yesterday. A Bard by any other name ...

Toothache - ouch

Normal service will be resumed shortly (I hope).
In the meantime, ow.

Fun times

Town of Constantine, Catholicism and Karl Marx (born here) ... so, not immediately what you'd think of as fun: but it is! See next post.

Toys in Trier

Trier ... Germany's oldest town (near the Luxembourg border if you're not sure, and on the Mosel River). Roman ruins: baths, amphitheatre, parts of the Basilica ... Emperor Constantine reigned here, and it's a major centre for the Catholic church (there are still pilgrimages to the Cathedral).
Also, home to a fun museum of toys.
Watch this! :-)
